Empty the rooms and any storage space. Make sure the cleaner can access the property and has enough time before handover.
- Confirm when the keys must be returned.
- Get a written list of tasks included in the cleaning quote.
- Agree separately on windows and balconies if needed.
Kitchen
Grease and food residue build up in kitchens. Check whether appliance interiors and cupboards are included.
- Wipe worktops, cupboard doors and shelves.
- Clean the hob and agreed oven surfaces.
- Clean the fridge and freezer as agreed.
- Check the sink, taps, waste cupboard and floor.
Bathroom and toilet
Limescale and drains may require additional work, so discuss them in advance.
- Clean sinks, taps and the toilet.
- Wash the agreed floor and wall surfaces.
- Check mirrors and shelves.
- Confirm whether the floor drain and sauna are included.
Other rooms and final inspection
Inspect the property in daylight after cleaning and document its condition.
- Wipe cupboards and fixtures included in your agreement.
- Vacuum and mop with appropriate care for the floor material.
- Check doors, switches and visible skirting boards.
- Photograph rooms and report any issues promptly.
